Changelog and versioning

Versioning

The API version is in the path: /v1. Within a version, Finto makes only compatible changes:

ChangeNotice
New endpoints, new optional request fields, new response fieldsListed here when released
New enum values (products, income types, document types, reasons, error codes)At least 30 days ahead, here and by email to your technical contact
New event typesAt least 30 days ahead, here and by email
Longer text limitsAt least 30 days ahead, here and by email
Security fixesAs needed, without notice

Your integration must therefore ignore unknown response fields and event types, and handle unknown enum values (see conventions.md).

Anything else is incompatible and comes only with a new version (/v2): removing or renaming a field, changing a type or meaning, making an optional request field required, changing signature rules. A new version is announced at least 6 months before the old one stops, and both run side by side during that time.

Signed application text

Every version of the text the client signs gets a signature.templateVersion and is published in signed-application.md and here, at least 30 days before it is first used.

templateVersionStatus
(first version)Draft under legal review; published before the sandbox opens

1.0.0 (draft)

First version, for review by lenders. The sandbox and the live API are being built to this specification; details may still change before the sandbox opens, and every change will be listed here.

Changes to the draft:

  • 2026-11-04: request.vehicle removed: the application carries no data about the car. applicant.monthlyExpenses added. Decision status terminated (with termination) for an agreement that ended early after the payout; after disbursed, cancelled only with withdrawal_right or other. Your decisions stay readable after the application is archived. disbursement.amount is now required.

  • 2026-11-05: sandbox PDFs carry no electronic signature; a sample signed with a test identity is available on request.

  • Applications with the signed common application, creditor table, PEP and beneficial owner answers.

  • Decisions from review to payout: required applicationVersion, optional previousDecisionId, applied in the order received, idempotent.

  • Events as signed webhooks and as a gap-free feed per lender.

  • Lender documents (consent form, SECCI form, offer, draft agreement).

  • Self-service key revocation.

  • OpenAPI 3.1 for the documentation and 3.0.3 for code generators.

  • Sandbox with scenarios and simulated client actions.
